Your go-to charger for all-terrain. The Ultralight Stratos Split is a dynamic, versatile splitboard designed to charge in all conditions. It comes with the body of a directional freeride board and the spirit of a freestyle charger. Thanks to the narrow sidecut and a camber-heavy directional rocker profile, it offers an energetic ride feel. It features a 10 mm taper and a 3D Contour Base 3.0 for added lift. The Ultralight Stratos is built with Jones' Fusion Carbon construction, including a wood core equipped with two sections of Koroyd that absorb vibrations at a fraction of the weight of wood. New for 23/24, the Ultralight Stratos Split is equipped with an eco-topsheet.Riding Style This board will accompany you everywhere, in all conditions.ShapeThe tapered directional shape is versatile in the resort and shows strength in the backcountry. The pop is concentrated in the tail and offers ample lift and control in any terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than the nose, which provides more lift in deep snow because the tail sinks easier, thus lifting the nose. Traction Tech 3.0, the wavy edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions and is found on this board both inside and out.ProfileThe directional rocker offers incredible lift and a forgiving ride. The 3D Contour Base also has raised edges at the contact points for more float and less edge catching.FlexThe medium-hard flex is responsive, agile, and ideal for almost any terrain.ConstructionThe Ultra construction is Jones' high-end construction. Only the best materials and technologies are used here. The new Fusion Core is Jones' lightest wood core to date. It consists mostly of Paulownia with specifically positioned poplar pockets for improved durability and feedback. The Tiax fiberglass ensures a responsive ride. Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy, making the production even more environmentally friendly. The material of the Ultra Base is fast, easy to repair, and absorbs wax excellently. All Jones boards are 'Ready to shred' and come waxed with natural WEND wax from the factory. They are also slightly rounded at the tip and tail, so you can go straight from the shop to the mountain. Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C with Tip-Lock were developed exclusively for Jones and maintain their tension even after years.
